Parking During Snow Emergencies

City of Bridgeport Street Parking During Snow Emergencies

Street parkers must be aware of the City of Bridgeport parking regulations.

During a Snow Emergency, all individuals including students who park on the streets, must move their cars off posted Snow Emergency streets or be subject to fines and towing. Snow Emergency streets are marked with white signs with red lettering. A list of Snow Emergency streets can be found at:

Vehicles left on Snow Emergency streets after a ban goes into effect will be subject to fines and towing.  A full list of Snow Emergency parking areas can be found at the following link:

Alternate-side-of-the-street parking rules are in effect for all other streets throughout the City in order to allow snow plow drivers’ clear passage. Alternate parking means you are allowed to park on the side of street which matches odd/or even day of the month to the odd/or even addresses on the houses. For example:  February 14th is a even number date, so you can park on the side of the street with even number addresses.

For the latest updates, resources and information about the snowstorm, students are asked to check, or follow the City of Bridgeport on Twitter and Facebook. Students can also stay informed by signing up for the City’s Reverse 911 system online at .  This service will ask for your phone and address.  Use the College address 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606.
