FOUNDING CHAIR, BACCALAUREATE PROGRAM
ONLINE BSN COMPLETION PROGRAM
The Founding Chair, Baccalaureate Nursing Program is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the curriculum of the online BSN Completion Program. This newly established program will admit its first cohort of students in January 2011. The Chair is also responsible for developing, implementing and assessing action plans for continuous program improvement; supervising and evaluating faculty; assuring the curriculum maximizes student learning within the context of the mission and institutional goals of the College; providing service through the College committee structure and participating in professional organizations.
Earned Doctoral degree in nursing or related field required. Masters Degree in nursing required. Demonstrated teaching excellence, effectiveness and experience in a collegiate setting. Experience in curriculum development, administration and program and institutional accreditation. Commitment to academic excellence with the ability to develop, implement and assess action plans for academic programs. Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated use of appropriate computer technology. Online course and program development, delivery and management experience required. Current professional nursing licensure in Connecticut required.

Nursing Faculty Positions:
ADJUNCT CLINICAL FACULTY - Fall 2010
Responsibilities include clinical supervision and evaluation of students. Clinical areas include: Fundamentals of Nursing and Advanced Medical-Surgical Nursing. Positions available include day, evening and Saturday.
Qualifications include a masters degree in nursing, experience in nursing practice with current clinical skills. Previous teaching experience desirable. Must be licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of Connecticut.
