Diagnostic Medical Sonography

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certificate Program is designed to prepare students to acquire the skills necessary to function as an entry level diagnostic medical sonographer in the areas of:

  • Abdominal Ultrasound
  • Obstetrical-Gynecological Ultrasound
  • Smart Parts and Vascular Ultrasound

The program is ideally suited for motivated individuals who are interested in a challenging health care career with employment opportunities in a variety of dynamic environments.

Program of Study
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certificate Program is a one calendar year, full-time program beginning only in the fall semester, which combines, both theory and clinical applications at multiple clinical sites. Students will become active participants in the clinical setting, utilizing the knowledge obtained as a radiographer, as well as cultivating the skills and techniques required in ultrasound. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the ARDMS Examinations. Review sessions are available prior to the exams.

Payment Plans
Tuition must be paid in full to be eligible to receive the institutional certificate and to sit for the ARDMS Examinations.

Payment options are as follows:

  • Upon acceptance into the program, a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is due.
  • The first payment of $1,750.00 is due by the first day of class.
  • The second payment of $2,000.00 is due by the first day of the second six months.
