Designed for students who need special attention to essential reading skills including vocabulary development and reading comprehension. Prepares students for college level reading in a variety of subjects. Also covers the fundamentals of spelling, punctuation, parts of speech and sentence structure. It includes the process of writing, including vocabulary and diction, organization, style and revision.

Effective Fall 2008, a minimum grade of “C+” or better will be required.
