Associate in Science with a Major in Medical Assisting

Advanced Placement for Graduates of a AAMA/CAAHEP Accredited Medical Assisting Program and Certified Medical Assistants

The candidate must:

1. Meet the requirements for admission to the medical assisting program.
2. Submit an official transcript from the medical assisting program. A grade of at least a "C" must have been earned in each medical assisting course to be transferred in as advanced placement credit.
3. Submit a copy of an active CMA credential.
4. Obtain a score of at least a 70 on a comprehensive medical assisting exam.
5. Successfully complete all program requirements within five years of enrollment at the College.
