Readmission to the Nursing Program
Students may not reapply to the Nursing Program for at least six months after termination.
Students seeking readmission to the Nursing Program must complete the admissions process through the Admissions Office and must meet the following requirements: two nursing faculty references, a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00, and evidence of the applicant’s efforts to strengthen areas of weakness. The applications of students requesting readmission will be reviewed by the Readmission Advisory Committee; this Committee may mandate specific requirements that the students must meet as part of their return to the Nursing Program.
All previous general education course work will be evaluated based on the College’s current admission requirements. Readmitted students may register for their choice of day or evening sections on a space-available basis only. Readmitted students must follow the curriculum in place at the time of their return to the program.
Students readmitted into a first level nursing couse MUST complete the Anatomy and Physiology Review prior to entering that course. Students readmitted into a second level nursing course MUST complete the Microbiology Review as well as the A & P Review. Students who are readmitted to the Nursing Program will be terminated after one failure in a nursing course.
