Students who do not have a transferable English Composition course and college level Algebra course are required to complete computer placement tests (CPT’s) including an essay. These tests are used in the admissions process and to evaluate basic skills in the areas of English, mathematics, and writing and are used to match students with appropriate courses and services. If it is determined that comprehensive courses are necessary, they must be completed before a student can enter the major. These courses are designed to help students whose academic skills need improvement before they take required courses in their programs of study. Failure to achieve minimum scores in each subject area will result in rejection of application.
