Do you accept transfer credits if a student passes a standardized test?
Yes. We accept up to 18 credits in transfer if you take the CLEP, DANTES or EXCELSIOR exams.  Click here to learn more about these exams.

Who can take the competency exam(s)?
In order to be eligible to take the competency exam(s) you must have completed the course(s) with a grade of "C+" or better.  A&P I & II must be been taken at the same institution. There is a $10.00 fee for each exam.  The College also offers online competency review courses. The cost is $75.00 for A&P and $45.00 for microbiology. There is a $20.00 fee for a computer access code. For information, please contact Dr. Susan Capasso @ 203-576-5323.

Who is required to take the placement exams?
Any applicant who is not transferring in college level algebra and English composition must take the placement exam(s). Applicants are tested in arithmetic, elementary algebra, English Composition, reading comprehension, and sentence skills.  The test is computer based and is not timed.
