What certificate programs does the college offer?
The College offers 12 certificate programs. They are:
Central Sterile Processing Technician, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Health Care Management, Health Care Reimbursement Specialist, Health Promotion, Hospital Coding Specialist, Human Services, Medical Assisting, Medical Office Assistant, Multi-Skilled Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, RN Refresher.
Are there information sessions?
The Continuing Education Office offers monthly information sessions which focus on our certificate programs. We will review each program and discuss the admission requirements and tuition. The following dates have been set up for these programs:

- Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 5:30 p.m.
- Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 5:30 p.m.
- Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 5:30 p.m.

Do you have an Open House?
The College hosts an Open House April and October of each year. These programs offer prospective students an opportunity to review all the degree and certificate programs offered at the college.
How do I apply for Financial Aid?
St. Vincent’s College is committed to providing financial aid for all students who qualify. Over 65% of enrolled students currently receive some type of aid. Students must complete the FAFSA to be considered for any type of financial aid. For more information, go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Do I have to take a placement test to be admitted?
Certain certificate programs require a placement test or entrance exam for admission. To check if a test is required please refer to the Application Instructions page.
Do I need a physical examination before I begin classes?
You are required to have health clearance (including a drug screen and proof of immunization) if you are enrolled in a clinical certificate. Upon acceptance, you will need to contact the Immediate Health Center (IHC) at (203) 268-2501 for an appointment. There is an $80 fee for this service.
What immunizations will I need?
The State of Connecticut requires that all students born after 12/31/56 have their doctor complete a Proof of Immunization Form or submit an official copy providing proof of immunization against measles and rubella. No student will be allowed to register until proof of immunization is complete.
