Nicole Torony Ferraz Wins GBMA Nurse Recognition Award

St. Vincent’s College would like to give a big congratulations to our own, Nicole Torony Ferraz for winning the Greater Bridgeport Medical Association Nurse Recognition Award. Nicole is part of our RN (registered nurse) to BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program and we are happy to see her make an impact to both the hospital and the community.

Nicole works in the children’s residential department at St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services. Over the course of her four years with St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services, Nicole has shown integrity, class, passion, professionalism and an innate ability in caring for these children as well as ensuring the parents she is the right person for the job.

Outside of the hospital, Nicole’s home is a DCF-approved foster home where she provides care for special needs children in the Bridgeport area. Nicole has also assisted with Helping Hands Medical Missions in Brazil, Mozambique, the Amazon River and Panama.
