Judy Ruggiri Wins 2017 “Distinguished Excellence in Teaching and Service Award!”

St. Vincent’s College would like to congratulate Judy C. Ruggiri for being the recipient of this year’s “Distinguished Excellence in Teaching and Service Award.” This award is given to a faculty member who has showed outstanding dedication to their students, profession and community. The selection of the winner was based on their proven evidence of effective teaching and creativity, the impact they’ve had on their students in both their personal and educational welfare, and finally the community service and service learning they have contributed.

Judy began her career as a registered nurse at Stamford hospital in 1983, a job that she held for almost 30 years until 2012. In 2002, Judy graduated from the University of Phoenix with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and from here graduated once more in 2007 with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Pace University. Since then, Judy has held both nursing positions and administrative ones including the Vice President of New Business Development at GHP and as a Wellness Nurse at Affiliated Physicians.

Judy joined the St. Vincent’s College team in 2013 and has showcased her dedication to our students and programs ever since. St. Vincent’s is proud to have someone like Judy be recognized for her excellence at our Institution.

Thank you Judy for your excellence as an educator, mentor and role model for your students, your community and your profession!
