Student Learning & Career Services Center

The Sister Marie Burns Student Learning & Career Services Center is located on the first floor of the Hunting Street building in the Fortin Wing of the College in Room H101.

The Center is equipped with four computers for academic work and four work tables for quiet, independent study. Badge access is required. The hours of the Center are:

Monday-Saturday: 6 am — 11 pm
Sunday: 7 am — 6 pm

The following services are available:

  • Academic support in the areas of:
    • course-related writing, research, APA, reading, mathematics
    • test taking strategies, time management, study skills, note taking, and organizational skills
  • Referrals to tutors
  • Access to College Central Network, the College online career services system which provides:
    • free online resume builder
    • career advice documents on resumes, interviews, job search etiquette, networking and more
    • Career Central Podcasts with sound advice for job search success
    • career related articles
    • access to exclusive job postings from local employers as well as a national job board
  • Assistance with resume writing
  • Career Workshops

The SLC Express literature rack provides timely handouts to support study-related information and career workshop booklets. There is a similar literature rack in the 2660 Main Street Building.
