Get a Jump on College – While You’re Still in High School!

The COLLEGE BEFORE COLLEGE program benefits entering high school seniors from the Greater Bridgeport Area that are interested in healthcare careers. This program allows for outstanding students to enroll and take entry level general education (101) classes at St. Vincent’s College free of charge. Students enrolled in this program can gain experience in a college setting, easing the transition from high school to college.

There are many benefits of taking college classes while you’re still in high school. You can:

Get a head start on earning college credits

Challenge yourself academically

Get a taste of the academic and social aspects of college life

Receive free tuition, for up to six credit hours per academic year (summer, fall and spring)

For qualifying High School students from the Greater Bridgeport Area, St. Vincent’s College offers free tuition for up to six credits per academic year.

Step 1: Get admitted – contact your high school counselor or the Department of Continuing and Professional Studies at St. Vincent’s College (203) 576-5651 for assistance. You must submit the following:

Completed Admissions Application

Official High School Transcript

Letter of Recommendation (preferably from a guidance counselor)

Placement Test scores or SAT Scores
